What goes on beneath the surface in seemingly normal, ordinary lives? As it turns out, "normal" is just a mirage, sold to each of us through the gloss and airbrushed perfection of fashion magazines and an endlessly unattainable social media standard. Journey to the depths of the real-life strife that exists within each and every one of us; from battles with mental illness to the struggle of understanding one's purpose in an ever changing world. Through a song cycle of pulse-quickening, heart-pounding music from some of the most engagingly popular, emotionally-charged musicals of the past decade, LIGHT exposes the truth within all of us: that no one is free from turmoil, no matter how flawless one's public self might seem. Uniting us all in the human experience through musical numbers that will mesmerize audiences, LIGHT proves that despite the tumult we each wrestle with in the isolated corners of our minds, we are not alone. Featuring songs from NEXT TO NORMAL, SPRING AWAKENING, CARRIE, GREEN DAY'S AMERICAN IDIOT, HEATHERS, DOGFIGHT and more, hope and unity prevail as together we learn that "you don't have to be happy at all to be happy you're alive".
Due to mature themes and language, this production is not suited for very young audiences. |
