The Warner Theatre’s beloved Warner Stage Company have been working hard to bring the first Stage @ the Warner production of 2021 to life! THE STINKY CHEESE MAN (AND OTHER FAIRLY STUPID TALES) will be presented on Saturday, August 14 for two free performances at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm at Coe Memorial Park in Torrington, all part of the Northwest Connecticut Art Council’s Litchfield Hills Creative Festival! The Festival is a community celebration of our vibrant arts and culture scene, offering live music, artist vendors, children’s activities, and performances throughout the day. No tickets are required.

Think you know all about fairy tales? Stink again… Though the characters may be familiar, each of your favorite storybook fables is uproariously derailed in this adaptation of Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith's quintessential children's book of fractured fairy tales. Everything from "Chicken Little" to "The Gingerbread Man" gets a complete makeover. Fun music and witty narration accompany the likes of ineloquent giants, sassy barnyard animals, colossal cow pies, and enough stinky cheese to go around.

The Stage @ the Warner production is directed by Richard McKenna with musical direction by TJ Thompson. The cast features Joe Guttadauro, Justin Torres, Lyn Nagel, Martha Irving, Michael Newman, Eric Lindblom and Susan Hackel.

The Stage @ the Warner presenting sponsor is Hartford HealthCare/Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. THE STINKY CHEESE MAN (AND OTHER FAIRLY STUPID TALES) is sponsored by Cook Funeral Home, AKC Fund and NWCT Community Foundation Building Healthier Communities Fund.
